The Squamish Chief is Canada's ultimate rock climbing objective. A sacred granite monolith towering 2200' above the majestic Howe Sound. An ascent of one of the many classic routes would be a feather in any climbers cap.
Kai, Andre and our team of guides are Squamish local experts who have guided clients up the Chief countless times and from every route imaginable. The easiest being The Ultimate Everything 5.9 to some of the hardest like Freeway 11c or Alaska Highway 11d are possible.
Many people feel that rock climbing up the Chief by even the easiest route may be scary and too big of an objective for them. However, the granite provides great friction and is very user friendly to climb. The first half of the route climbs the lower angle Apron which makes for a great warm up and the upper part is broken up nicely with ledges, comfortable belay stances and not much exposure. Because of this the summit is very attainable and not as strenuous as one might think. On the other hand, if exposure is what you like, the Grand Wall may be just the route for you. The view from the top is spectacular and a perfect place to reflect on a great day of rock climbing.

guiding starts at 8:00am and runs till 4:00pm except Half Days which run till 12:00. Meeting place is the new adventure centre in Squamish. Turn right at the traffic lights for the Squamish townsite and Hwy.99, opposite McDonalds.
